The National Historic Site of Wounded Knee, INC. is a 501(c)(3) certified non profit organization.
I was born, raised and educated on the Pine Ridge Reservation and when I was a small boy my father worked as a clerk at the Wounded Knee Trading Post and my family lived in the Wounded Knee Community. Wounded Knee has always held a special plate in my heart and I believe it should be returned to the people of the 9 Sioux tribes. I will make it my life’s endeavor to make it happen. - Tim
I have been married to Tim Giago for 20 years and we have worked together on many projects and I believe that this is probably the most important project we have ever undertaken. Like my husband I firmly believe that the site of Wounded Knee belongs to the Lakota/Dakota/Nakota people and we will work very hard to make it happen. - Jackie
